Storyline:

Babu is a delivery boy living with his friends Yesu and Abhi. Due to his meagre salary, he decides to quit, but then Yesu gives him an idea. The idea, however, soon spirals out of control and Babu finds himself deep in trouble. Will he survive the consequences of his own actions?

Mathu Vadalara is a Telugu crime comedy thriller film written and directed by debutant Ritesh Rana. The film stars Sri Simha, Satya, Naresh Agastya, and Athulya Chandra in lead roles while Brahmaji and Vennela Kishore play supporting roles. It was produced by Chiranjeevi (Cherry) and Hemalatha Pedamallu.

The title of the film was inspired by a song from the 1966 mythological film Sri Krishna Pandaveeyam. The production team of Mathu Vadalara reportedly took three years to complete the film, working with a modest budget of just 2 crores.

Mathu Vadalara was released on December 25, 2019. The film received positive reviews from critics and audiences and was a success at the box office.

In August 2024, the sequel to Mathu Vadalara was announced, featuring new additions to the cast, including Faria Abdullah, Rohini, Jeevan Kumar, and Sunil. Sri Simha Koduri, Satya, and Vennela Kishore reprised their roles from the original. The sequel, Mathu Vadalara 2, was released on September 13, 2024.
