Storyline:
In 1988, a 17-year-old genius teenage boy named Joon-kyeong lives in a village without a train station, where the only way in and out is by train. Dreaming of building a way station for his sister and the villagers who must commute along dangerous train tracks daily. Joon-kyeong sends numerous letters to the President but receives no reply. Ra-hee, who has a crush on Joon-kyeong, does everything she can to help him meet the President.

Miracle: Letters to the President (Korean: 기적k) is a South Korean romantic drama film directed by Lee Jang-hoon and produced by Yook Kyung-sam. Lee Jang-hoon and Son Joo-yeon wrote the film. The film stars Park Jeong-min, Lee Sung-min, Im Yoon-ah, and Lee Soo-kyung.
The film is based on the true story of a high school mathematics genius Joon-kyeong. Set in the 1980s in a remote township of North Gyeongsang Province, the film tells the story of establishing a simple, privately owned train station.
The film’s principal photography began on August 2, 2020, in Gangwon Province, South Korea. Set in 1988, it was shot on an open set and filmed around various locations in the province, including Yucheon-ri, Jeongseon, a house in Nakcheon-ri, Dogye Dongdeok branch school in Samcheok, High1 Chuchu Park, Wonju Ganhyeon Tourist Site, and Wonju Rail Bike.
Miracle: Letters to the President was theatrically released on September 15, 2021, coinciding with the Chuseok festival holidays. At the box office, as of December 11, 2021, it ranks 8th among the Korean films released in 2021 in South Korea, with a gross of US$5.61 million and 715,608 cumulative admissions.
