Storyline:
The film tells a remarkable true story of athlete Diana Nyad who, at the age of 60 and with the help of her best friend and coach, commits to achieving her life-long dream: a 110-mile open ocean swim from Cuba to Florida.

Nyad is an American biographical sports drama film about swimmer Diana Nyad’s multiple attempts in the early 2010s to swim the Straits of Florida, with flashbacks to her early life.
The film is Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin’s narrative feature directorial debut.
The film is based on Diana Nyad’s autobiography Find a Way.
An earlier script by Robert Specland was featured on the 2015 Black List of the best-unproduced scripts of the year.
The film had its world premiere at the 50th Telluride Film Festival on September 1, 2023. It was released in select theaters on October 20, 2023, before streaming on Netflix on November 3.
