Storyline:
When Dani is brutally murdered at the remote country house that she and her husband Ted are renovating, everyone suspects a patient from the local mental health institution, where Ted is a doctor. However, soon after the tragic killing, the suspect is found dead. A year later, Dani’s blind twin sister Darcy, a self-proclaimed psychic and collector of cursed items, pays an unexpected visit to Ted and his new girlfriend, Yana. Convinced that there was more to her sister’s murder than people know, Darcy has brought with her the most dangerous items from her cursed collection to help her exact revenge.

About Oddity Movie:
Oddity is a horror thriller film written and directed by Damian Mc Carthy and produced by Laura Tunstall, Mette-Marie Kongsved, Katie Holly, and Evan Horan. The film stars Gwilym Lee, Carolyn Bracken, Tadhg Murphy, Caroline Menton, and Jonathan French.
It was shot in the same converted barn in West Cork, County Cork, Ireland as Damian Mc Carthy’s first film, Caveat (2020). Mc Carthy was developing Oddity at the same time he was working on Caveat.
The film premiered at South by Southwest on March 8, 2024. The film won the Audience Award in the Midnighter section at the festival. It also won the Audience Award for Feature Film at the Overlook Film Festival in April 2024.
In February 2024, Blue Finch Films acquired the international distribution rights for the film.
Oddity was released in the United States on July 19, 2024, prior to playing at the 28th Fantasia International Film Festival in July 2024.
