Storyline:

Panchak is a situational comedy which looks at what happens to a family when an elder passes away under a Panchak, five constellations poised at the wrong time and place to bring seemingly bad luck and worse, the demise of 5 family members in the next year.

It examines what lengths people will go, to undo such things and how superstition and fear become the comic canvas on which their lives operate.

About Panchak Movie:

Panchak is a Marathi comedy drama film directed by Rahul Awate and Jayant Jathar and produced by Madhuri Dixit along with her husband, Dr. Shriram Nene, under RnM Moving Pictures. The film features an ensemble cast of Adinath Kothare, Dilip Prabhavalkar, Bharati Achrekar, Anand Ingale, Tejashri Pradhan, Satish Alekar, Nandita Patkar, Sampada Kulkarni and Deepti Devi.

The directorial debut of Rahul Awate.

The film was shot in Konkan region, India.

This film marks the second production of RNM Moving Pictures after the 2019 film 15th August which was released directly on Netflix.

Panchak had its premiere at 21st Pune International Film Festival on 5 February 2023, where it received standing ovation from the audience.

The official title poster and the release date were released by the makers in mid-October. The teaser was released on 1 December 2023, subsequently, the trailer was released on 12 December 2023. The trailer garnered a great response from the audience, and Bollywood stars Kajol, Riteish Deshmukh, Shilpa Shetty, Karan Johar, and others praised it.

Panchak was theatrically released on January 5, 2024.
