Storyline:
The story follows Prakash, a young and ambitious individual from Jumla, a remote district in Nepal. Prakash’s dream is to become a teacher to fulfill his father’s desire. His journey is marked by the unwavering support of his widowed mother, who is doing everything in her power to help him complete his education. Nevertheless, Prakash encounters numerous challenges and obstacles along the way due to his disadvantaged family background.

Prakash (Nepali: प्रकाश) is a Nepali film directed by Dinesh Raut and written by Bikash Subedi. The film stars Pradeep Khadka, Deeya Maskey, and Renu Yogi, who made her debut through this film.
Produced by Mahendra Adhikari under the banner of DAR Movies & Film Industries Pvt. Ltd. Prakash was made on a budget of around 2.5 crore Nepalese rupees, which makes it one of the most expensive Nepali films.
The story is based on the life of a man from rural Nepal who dreams of becoming a school teacher. The entire filming was done in Jumla.
Prakash was released on August 26, 2022, simultaneously in eight countries, including India, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the United States, Canada, parts of Europe, and parts of the Middle East. Distribution rights for these countries were sold for ₹1.72 crore.
