About Sarfira Movie:
Sarfira is a Hindi drama film directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Abundantia Entertainment, 2D Entertainment and Cape Of Good Films. The film stars Akshay Kumar, alongside Paresh Rawal, Radhika Madan and Seema Biswas. It is a remake of Sudha’s directorial Soorarai Pottru (2020), which itself is an adaptation of G. R. Gopinath’s memoir Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey.
The film was officially announced in July 2021 under the tentative title Project 1, as it was the maiden venture of 2D Entertainment in Hindi, and the official title was announced in February 2024.
Principal photography commenced in April 2022. It is currently being predominantly shot in Mumbai in several legs. The film has music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar.
The official title Sarfira was announced on 13 February 2024, along with the release date.
Initially the film was planned to release on 1 September 2023 and later 16 February 2024. It was finally released in theatres on 12 July 2024.
