Storyline:

A fictional story Inspired by true events, several children go missing from a basti (slum) in Sector 36. A determined police officer must now face off with a cunning serial killer as a chilling investigation and dark secrets unfold.

About Movie:

Sector 36 is a Hindi crime thriller film directed by Aditya Nimbalkar and starring Vikrant Massey, Deepak Dobriyal, and Akash Khurana. The film is loosely based on 2006 Noida serial murders also known as Nithari Killings.

This is the first collaboration between Vikrant Massey and Deepak Dobriyal. In the film, Vikrant Massey portrays a negative role.

The film Sector 36 was officially announced in June 2023 and principal photography of the film commenced in June 2022. Interestingly, the shooting of the film began before the release of Vikrant Massey’s movie 12th Fail.

The film had its world premiere at the 15th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne on August 22, 2024. It was released on Netflix on September 13, 2024.
