Storyline:

It is the story of a witch who captures men in the middle of the night when they are alone and abandons them with only their clothes.

About Stree 2 Movie:

Stree 2 is a Hindi comedy horror film written by Niren Bhatt and directed by Amar Kaushik. The film stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in lead roles. It is the sequel to the 2018 film Stree and the fourth installment in the Maddock Supernatural Universe.

Rajkummar Rao made the official announcement of Stree 2 in July 2023 through his social media account, accompanied by an announcement teaser.

In October 2018, director Amar Kaushik announced plans for a sequel to Stree (2018). Principal photography on the film began on 10 July 2023 with a muhuratam puja held in Chanderi. In January 2024, Pankaj Tripathi joined the sets of the sequel to Stree shortly after completing Main Atal Hoon.

Varun Dhawan will also make a cameo appearance reprising his role of Bhaskar from Bhediya.

The teaser for the film premiered in theaters during the end credits of Munjya on June 14, 2024, and was later released on social media on June 25, 2024. The trailer was released on July 18, 2024, and received over 10 crore views across platforms within 24 hours.

In April 2023, the makers announced that Stree 2 would be released on August 30, 2024, but it was later rescheduled to August 15, 2024. After its theatrical release, the film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

Stree 2 earned ₹8.50 crore from paid previews shown in select theatres the day before its release, breaking the previous record held by Chennai Express. The film was released alongside Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein and opened to ₹83.48 crore, the second highest-opening day for a Hindi film ever, only behind Jawan (2023).

Stree 2 was released worldwide on August 15, 2024, and received positive reviews from critics. The film premiered on Amazon Prime Video from 10 October 2024.

Stree 2 had brought its total worldwide gross to ₹874.58 crore. This achievement made it the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2024, surpassing Fighter, the seventh-highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, the ninth-highest-grossing Indian film, and the sixth-highest-grossing film in the domestic market. It also became the highest-grossing film of both Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s careers.
