Storyline:
Sharanya, a shy and introverted person, is a native of Kollengode, Palakkad who moves to Thrissur to pursue engineering. She finds romance with a young man, Deepu through Instagram. She met him when she was hanging out through Ernakulam with her friends and he tracked down her profile. Sharanya and her friend’s campus life and evolving character traits are captured throughout the story.

Super Sharanya is a Malayalam coming-of-age comedy film written and directed by Girish A. D. The film stars Anaswara Rajan in the title role, while Mamitha Baiju, Arjun Ashokan, and Naslen K. Gafoor play the supporting roles. The film was produced by Shebin Backer and Girish A. D. and the music was composed by Justin Varghese.
The film was announced in August 2020 as Gireesh A. D.’s second directorial after Thanneer Mathan Dinangal (2019). The first look character posters of the film was shared by Kunchacko Boban. A second-look poster has been revealed by the filmmakers, announcing the January 2022 release of the film in theatres.
Filming began in December 2020. The film was shot in Palakkad, Ernakulam, and Government Engineering College, Thrissur.
Super Sharanya was released on January 7, 2022, and became a commercial success despite receiving mixed reviews from critics.
