About Series:
The Resort is a dark comedy mystery series created by Andy Siara for Peacock. The show features a talented ensemble cast, including William Jackson Harper, Cristin Milioti, Luis Gerardo Méndez, Skyler Gisondo, Nina Bloomgarden, Gabriela Cartol, and Nick Offerman.
Originally reported in February 2020, UCP began developing “The Resort” as a dark comedy series. By June 2021, Peacock officially ordered the series.
Filming commenced in Puerto Rico in March 2022 and concluded in May 2022. The first four episodes were directed by executive producer Ben Sinclair, while episodes five and six were helmed by the filmmaking duo Rania Attieh and Daniel Garcia. The final two episodes were directed by Ariel Kleiman.
The eight-episode series premiered exclusively on Peacock on July 28, 2022, with the first three episodes released on the same day. Subsequent episodes were released weekly on Thursdays. On August 24, 2022, NBC aired the pilot episode at 9 p.m. following a semi-final episode of “America’s Got Talent.”
