Storyline:
A female university student was stalked by a man and she was killed by that person. According to a scoop from a local newspaper, a police officer delayed processing a complaint from the victim and, instead, went on a trip. The prefectural police station is in turmoil because of the article and they try to find out who is the source of the leak. Meanwhile, Izumi Moriguchi works in the public relations and public appeals department for the prefectural police station. She is suspicious that her best friend, Reporter Chika Tsumura, broke a promise to her and used the information for the scoop. However, Chika denies the accusation and insists that she is innocent. One week later, Chika is found dead. Izumi is overcome with remorse and guilt, believing if she didn’t suspect her friend then she wouldn’t have been harmed. Izumi now begins to investigate who is responsible for Chika’s death.
