About Series:
GG Precinct (Chinese: 正港分局) is a 2024 Taiwanese crime-comedy series, co-directed and written by Cheng Wei-hao and Yin Chen-hao. The series is a spin-off of the 2022 supernatural comedy Marry My Dead Body, featuring returning cast members Greg Hsu, Gingle Wang, Ma Nien-hsien, and Flower Chen. New additions to the cast include Lulu Huang, Ng Ki-pin, and Da-her Lin.
In May 2023, Jin hinted at the spin-off while promoting Marry My Dead Body in Korea, with an official announcement following soon after. A teaser trailer was released on 5 July, initially revealing an eight-episode format, later reduced to six episodes when the premiere date was confirmed on 15 July.
Principal photography began in November 2022, with filming locations including the Taipei City Police Department Headquarters and actress Paulina Hu’s mansion in Xizhi District. Due to a tight schedule, scriptwriting overlapped with filming, which wrapped up prior to the release of Marry My Dead Body and entered post-production in May 2023.
The six-episode series premiered on Netflix on 22 August 2024, quickly topping Netflix’s charts in Taiwan and Hong Kong during its debut week.
