Storyline:
After a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, all they have to do to collect a $50 million ransom is watch the girl overnight. In an isolated mansion, the captors start to dwindle, one by one, and they discover, to their mounting horror, that they’re locked inside with no normal little girl.

About Abigail Movie:
Abigail is an American horror thriller film directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. The film stars Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Alisha Weir, Kathryn Newton, William Catlett, Kevin Durand, and Angus Cloud. The film is based on and a reimagining of the 1936 Universal Classic Monsters film Dracula’s Daughter.
In April 2023, it was reported that Radio Silence Productions was developing a monster thriller film for Universal Pictures. The film was officially titled Abigail in January 2024.
Principal photography on the film began on June 30, 2023, in Dublin, Ireland, under the working title Abducting Abigail, but filming was suspended in July due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Filming officially wrapped on December 15, 2023.
This is Melissa Barerra’s first collaboration with Radio Silence outside of the Scream movies.
Angus Cloud’s final role before his passing on July 31, 2023. He finished filming his scenes before his death.
Abigail had its world premiere at the Overlook Film Festival on April 7, 2024, and was released by Universal Pictures in the United States on April 19, 2024. The film was released on premium video on demand by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment on May 7, 2024. It is one of the highest-grossing movies of 2024.
