Sarfira
Soorarai Pottru is being remade in Hindi titled Sarfira’; directed by Kongara and produced by Suriya and Vikram Malhotra. It stars Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan, with Paresh Rawal reprising his role. Suriya appears in a cameo role. G. V. Prakash Kumar was retained as composer to score a new soundtrack.
Principal photography commenced in April 2022, and the film is scheduled to release in theatres on 12 July 2024.
Singham Again
Rohit Shetty has confirmed that the shooting of the film has Begun on September 16, 2023, the film will feature Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Deepika Padukone in Lead roles along with Arjun Kapoor in a grey shade role, Jackie Shroff will be the main antagonist of the film reprising his role of Omar Hafeez from Sooryavanshi.
The film will have a Cameo appearance of Ranveer Singh as Simmba and Akshay Kumar as Sooryavanshi, the film will be the fifth installation of Cop Universe, and the film will be produced by Reliance Entertainment, Jio Studios, Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty. The film will be released on 15th August 2024 coinciding with Independence Day.
Khel Khel MeiKhel Khel Meinn
Akshay Kumar is working on the upcoming movie Khel Khel Mein, directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film features a star-studded cast including Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Fardeen Khan, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal. The storyline revolves around a group of friends reuniting after a long time, leading to hilarious chaos.
Khel Khel Mein is an official remake of the 2016 Italian comedy thriller film “Perfect Strangers.” The movie will be theatrically released on September 6, 2024.
Sky Force
Sky Force is an upcoming Hindi action thriller film directed by Abhishek Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani. It stars Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, Nimrat Kaur, and Sara Ali Khan.

Welcome to the Jungle
After the success of the two films, the makers announced the third part of this franchise on 10th September 2023, titled ‘Welcome To The Jungle’. Producer Firoz Nadiadwala said, “It is an all-out action film featuring the army and features some of the most complicated stunts ever filmed in a Hindi movie.”
‘Welcome To The Jungle’ is directed by Ahmed Khan who is taking over the franchise from Anees Bazmee, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal will reprise their respective roles as Rajiv Saini and Dr. Dayal Ghungroo while Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi will replace Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor as Uday and Majnu for the 3rd installment, the cast also includes Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Lara Dutta, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Mukesh Tiwari, Rahul Dev and Yashpal Sharma.
Kannappa
Akshay Kumar is set to make his Telugu cinema debut with the highly anticipated film Kannappa. The actor joins an impressive star cast that includes Vishnu Manchu, Mohan Babu, Prabhas, Mohanlal, and others. Kumar will play as Shiva.
Kannappa is a mythological fantasy film directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu’s AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory. The film is based on the legend of Kannappa, an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. Vishnu Manchu plays the titular role and also wrote the screenplay.
Kumar recently wrapped up shooting for his portion in the film. The teaser, which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival, received an overwhelmingly positive response from international distributors and audiences. The film is expected to be released in multiple languages including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and English.
Jolly LLB 3
After the success of the second installment, makers have confirmed to make a third part of this franchise. The film is titled Jolly LLB 3, with both Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi reprising their roles of Jolly along with Saurabh Shukla reprising his role.
The film will be written and directed by Subhash Kapoor. It will be released in 2025.
Hera Pheri 3
On 21 February 2023, it was confirmed that the film had quietly begun with the same old cast of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal in Mumbai’s Empire Studio under the direction of Farhad Samji. On 6 March 2023, it was confirmed that Sanjay Dutt had joined the cast.
Shankara
Akshay Kumar is set to starrer in the upcoming biographical film ‘Shankara’ alongside R Madhavan and Ananya Panday. The narrates the lawyer’s relentless fight against the British Raj to expose Punjab Lieutenant Governor Michael O’Dwyer’s involvement in the tragic 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
Kumar is in Uttarakhand currently and has wrapped up shooting. The film will be released at the end of 2024.
Housefull 5
Housefull 5 is a comedy film, directed by Tarun Mansukhani. Featuring Akshay Kumar, Pooja Hegde, Kriti Sanon, and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead roles.
The film will be theatrically released on 6 June 2025.
Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat
Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat is an upcoming Indian Marathi-language period drama film directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and produced by Vaseem Qureshi under the banner of Qureshi Productions.
The film stars Pravin Tarde, Hardeek Joshi, Vishal Nikam, Jai Dudhane, Utkarsha Shinde and Virat Madke as the seven great Maratha warriors who playing important role to achieve the dream of Swaraj (transl. Self rule), while Akshay Kumar (debut in Marathi cinema) as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The film was initially supposed to be released on Diwali but it was changed to avoid clashing with the Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3.
