Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia (born 9 September 1967), better known as Akshay Kumar is an Indian-born naturalized Canadian actor, film producer, martial artist, and television personality who works in Bollywood (Hindi) film industry. Over 29 years, Kumar has appeared in over 100 films and has won several awards, including a National Film Award for Best Actor and two Filmfare Awards.

Kumar began his career in 1991 with Saugandh, but his first mainstream success came a year later with the action thriller Khiladi. In 2009, he was awarded the Padma Shri the fourth-highest civil honour by the Government of India. In 2019, Kumar was on the Forbes list of highest-paid entertainers in the world, ranking 52nd with earnings of $48.5 million.

Sarfira

Release date: 12 July 2024

Soorarai Pottru is being remade in Hindi titled Sarfira’; directed by Kongara and produced by Suriya and Vikram Malhotra. It stars Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan, with Paresh Rawal reprising his role. Suriya appears in a cameo role. G. V. Prakash Kumar was retained as composer to score a new soundtrack.

Principal photography commenced in April 2022, and the film is scheduled to release in theatres on 12 July 2024.

Singham Again

Rohit Shetty has confirmed that the shooting of the film has Begun on September 16, 2023, the film will feature Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Deepika Padukone in Lead roles along with Arjun Kapoor in a grey shade role, Jackie Shroff will be the main antagonist of the film reprising his role of Omar Hafeez from Sooryavanshi.

The film will have a Cameo appearance of Ranveer Singh as Simmba and Akshay Kumar as Sooryavanshi, the film will be the fifth installation of Cop Universe, and the film will be produced by Reliance Entertainment, Jio Studios, Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty. The film will be released on 15th August 2024 coinciding with Independence Day.

Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat is an upcoming Indian Marathi-language period drama film directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and produced by Vaseem Qureshi under the banner of Qureshi Productions. The film stars Pravin Tarde, Hardeek Joshi, Vishal Nikam, Jai Dudhane, Utkarsha Shinde and Virat Madke as the seven great Maratha warriors who playing important role to achieve the dream of Swaraj (transl. Producer Firoz Nadiadwala said “It is an all-out action film featuring the army and features some of the most complicated stunts ever filmed in a Hindi movie.”

‘Welcome To The Jungle’ is directed by Ahmed Khan who is taking over the franchise from Anees Bazmee, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal will reprise their respective roles as Rajiv Saini and Dr. Dayal Ghungroo while Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi will replace Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor as Uday and Majnu for the 3rd installment, the cast also includes Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Lara Dutta, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Mukesh Tiwari, Rahul Dev and Yashpal Sharma.
