2024 Metro Manila Film Festival
The 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is the 50th edition of the annual Metro Manila Film Festival. During the festival, no foreign films are shown in Philippine theaters (excluding IMAX and 4D theaters).

Feature films
The first five official entries for the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival were announced on July 16, 2024, at Bulwagang Villegas, Manila City Hall, selected from 39 scripts submitted by production companies. Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chairman Don Artes introduced the 50th edition theme, “Sinesigla sa Singkwenta,” celebrating the festival’s milestone with 10 competing entries spanning various genres, an increase from the usual 8. The second batch of films, chosen from completed submissions by September 30, 2024, was announced on October 22, 2024.

Student short film entries
In partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), the agency is hosting the Student Short Film Competition, a dynamic platform to highlight the talents and creativity of young Filipino filmmakers. Ten selected short films will be announced in the second week of November.
Awards
The Gabi ng Parangal (Awards Night) of the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival will take place at the Manila Metropolitan Theater, chosen for its historical significance as the venue for the awards ceremony of the 1975 edition, the very first Metro Manila Film Festival.
