Storyline:
In the streets of Gorakhpur, Saurya, brilliantly portrayed by Saugat Malla, grapples with his troubled mind, haunted by a difficult past. After 1 year of disappearance, his brother and friend, Nisan (Najir Husen), embarks on a quest to find him. As Nisan delves into Saurya’s history, a touching story unfolds, involving a mysterious girl named Chandani (Malika Mahat). ‘The Unbreakable Agastya – Chapter 1’ takes us on a journey through fractured memories and unveils the strong bond between two brothers, revealing the secrets that shaped Saurya’s fragile state.

About Agastya – Chapter 1 Movie:
Agastya (also known as Agastya – Chapter 1) is a Nepali action drama film written and directed by Saaurav Chaudhary and starring Saugat Malla, Najir Husen, Nischal Basnet, Malika Mahat, Pramod Agrahari, Ben Basnet, and Bijay Baral.
According to reports the title of the film is taken from the name of Agastya Rishi, one of the seven sages.
Filming began in May 2023. The film was shot in Nawalparasi and Kathmandu in Nepal, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur in India.
For the very first time, three big actors Saugat Malla, Najir Husen, and Nischal Basnet are going to work together.
On the official poster, Najir Husen appears in five different avatars. According to writer/director, Saaurav Chaudhary, revealed that Najir gained 20 kg of muscle to play an action role.
As per the filmmakers along with Nepali actors, some well-known actors from India also acted in the film.
OSR Digital released the official teaser of the film on January 28, 2024, via YouTube.
Agastya – Chapter 1 was released theatrically on March 1, 2024 (Falgun 18, 2080). The film received positive reviews form critics and audiences.
