Storyline:
The film chronicles the life and tragic death of Philippine national hero former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Simeon Aquino Jr.
About Ako Si Ninoy Movie:
- It is based on the 2008 stage play of the same name by Vince Tañada.
- Ako Si Ninoy is the second stage play adapted by Vincent Tañada to film, following Katips (2021).
- Ako Si Ninoy premiered at the Power Plant Mall on February 18, 2022, and was theatrically released in the Philippines on February 22, 2023. It was released exactly a week before the release of two other historical films related to Ferdinand Marcos: Oras de Peligro (2023), which tells the story of an impoverished family during the People Power Revolution, and Martyr or Murderer (2023).
