Storyline:
Detective Axel Foley is back on the beat in Beverly Hills. After his daughter’s life is threatened, she and Foley team up with a new partner and old pals Billy Rosewood and John Taggart to turn up the heat and uncover a conspiracy.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is an upcoming American action crime comedy film directed by Mark Molloy and starring Eddie Murphy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Taylour Paige, Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, and Paul Reiser.
It is the fourth installment in the Beverly Hills Cop film series, following Beverly Hills Cop (1984), Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), and Beverly Hills Cop III (1994).
This is Mark Molloy’s directorial feature film debut.
The film’s title “Axel F” is based on the 1984 single of the same name by Harold Faltermeyer, which had been used as the theme song for the Beverly Hills Cop franchise.
The film entered development in the mid-1990s, under Murphy’s production company. Various directors and screenwriters were attached over the years, including Brett Ratner Adil El Arbi, and Bilall Fallah.
In February 2022, the film entered pre-production and received a California state tax credit of $16,059,000. Principal photography began on August 29, 2022, in San Bernardino, along with other areas in California, for 58 days, to generate $78 million in qualified spending in tax incentives. Filming occurred in Detroit in November 2022, before production wrapped in early 2023.
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is scheduled to be released on Netflix on July 3, 2024.
