Storyline

When a border ambush goes wrong, a retired Irish paramilitary (Colin Morgan) witnesses the fatal shooting of his pregnant wife by a SAS officer (Aml Ameen). After outwitting the SAS, now wounded, and presumed dead, he escapes, taking his revenge to the dark and paranoid streets of 1970’s London. Raw and suspenseful, Borderland is an adrenaline-fueled thriller that will leave audiences weighing up the true cost of revenge.

About Dead Shot Movie

The film is based on an original screenplay by Ronan Bennett and inspired by the book The Road to Balcombe Street by Steven P. Moysey.

Filming began in April 2022 in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Props and other items from the set were donated to local charities in Scotland after location filming ended.

Before the project was delayed, John Boyega, Jack Reynor, Jamie Dornan, Sam Claflin and Jodie Turner-Smith were attached to the lead roles.

This is the first major Hollywood production to be filmed in Edinburgh.
Dead Shot premiered on Sky Cinema in the United Kingdom, Ireland and other territories on 12 May 2023. The film wase released in the United States in theatres, through video on demand, and on digital on 18 August 2023 by Quiver Distribution.
