Storyline:

Living with an intellectual disability, Louis is wrongfully accused of the murder of his sister Delia and sentenced to 5 years in prison. Upon release, he is visited by one of the last men to see her alive who implies there is more to her killing than meets the eye. Armed with this new information, Louis embarks on a personal mission to find who is responsible for Delia’s mysterious death.

The film is based on a short story Caged Bird Sing by Michael Hamblin.

Principal photography began in October 2020.

On October 13, 2020, it was announced Stephan James, Marisa Tomei, and Paul Walter Hauser had joined the cast of the film.

Delia’s Gone was released in theaters and through video on demand in the United States on August 19, 2022, by Vertical Entertainment.

David Braid received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Original Song at the 10th Canadian Screen Awards for the song “Ring Them Fantasy”.

It was shortlisted for Best Direction in a Feature Film at the 2022 Directors Guild of Canada awards.
