    Elvis is a biographical musical drama film directed by Baz Luhrmann, who co-wrote the screenplay with Sam Bromell, Craig Pearce, and Jeremy Doner. It stars Austin Butler in the title role with Tom Hanks as Parker, while Olivia DeJonge, Helen Thomson and Richard Roxburgh are co-stars.

    Elvis premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 25, 2022, and was released in Australia on June 23, 2022, and in the United States the following day, by Warner Bros. Pictures. It received generally positive reviews from critics, with acclaim for Butler and Hanks’ performances as well as the film’s costume and production designs, and musical sequences.
