Storyline:
When detective Bob Hightower finds his ex-wife murdered and daughter kidnapped by a satanic cult, he quits the police force, gets tattoos, and infiltrates the cult to hunt down the charismatic cult leader, Cyrus, with the help of the cult’s only female escapee, Case Hardin. Bob is led down the rabbit hole to save his daughter while Case seizes the opportunity to claim back her power.
About God Is a Bullet Movie:
The production of the film took place in Mexico City in May 2021 and subsequently moved to New Mexico, where filming concluded in August 2021.
It is based on the novel of the same name by Boston Teran.
Approximately 16 minutes were cut for a Russian release. Also the title was changed to He Is a Bullet, although it wasn’t initially planned, and posters with the correct translation were released – presumably it was done to avoid the controversial blasphemy law.
God Is a Bullet was released in the United States on June 23, 2023, before a “digital roll out” on July 11. It was the first film to be theatrically released by Wayward Entertainment, which acquired the distribution rights in April 2023.
