- The story is majorly influenced by Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai (1954), which is Zack Snyder’s favorite movie.
- Filming commenced on April 19, 2022, with Snyder sharing the first images from the set on Twitter that day. It ran until December 2, with 152 days of filming taking place in California, to tap into $83 million in qualified spending and tax incentives.
- This is the first time Ed Skrein and Michiel Huisman have worked together since Huisman replaced Skrein as Daario Naharis in Game of Thrones (2011).
- This is the third collaboration of Jena Malone and Zack Snyder after Sucker Punch (2011) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).
- Rupert Friend was originally cast in the role of Balisarius, but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts with The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar (2023) and Ed Skrein was later cast in the role.
