About Run Rabbit Run Movie

  • Principal photography took place on location in Melbourne, Victoria, and Waikerie, South Australia.

  • Elisabeth Moss was initially selected for the lead role, but due to scheduling conflicts, she had to withdraw from the project. Consequently, Sarah Snook was chosen to replace her and was cast in the lead role.

  • This movie received development funding from Screen Australia’s Gender Matters Brilliant Stories initiative program. The production has been the third feature movie from the financing stream to get green-lit.

  • Early publicity for the picture had described it invariably as featuring ”a ghost from the past” with the film being described as a “ghost horror thriller” and a “modern-day ghost story”.

  • Debut theatrical feature film penned by South Australian novelist Hannah Kent.
