About Salaam Venky Movie:

Salaam Venky is a Hindi slice-of-life drama film directed by Revathi. The film is produced by Connekkt Media along with Suraj Singh and Shraddha Agrawal through their banners, Blive Productions and RTake Studios, respectively. Starring Kajol and Vishal Jethwa (as the title character) in the lead roles.

The film was announced on 7 October 2021 by Revathi and Kajol, tentatively titled The Last Hurrah.

Principal photography began on 11 February 2022, the first schedule took place in Mumbai.

The film is based on The Last Hurrah by Shrikant Murthy.

The film is inspired by a true story and real characters.

The director Revathi dubbed for Kajol in the 1997 Tamil film, Minsara Kanavu.

Salaam Venky song “Anda Bata Paratha” was inspired from Do Aur Do Paanch song “Tune Abhi Dekha Nahin “.

Kajol and Kamal Sadanah reunite after 30 years. They were last seen together in Bekhudi.

Salaam Venky was theatrically released on 9 December 2022 by Sony Pictures Releasing International. The digital and satellite rights are held by Zee5 and Zee Cinema, respectively. The film premiered on ZEE5 on February 10, 2023.
