Storyline:

Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot is an American drama film directed by Joshua Weigel, who co-wrote it with Rebekah Weigel. The film stars Elizabeth Mitchell, Demetrius Grosse, Carlos Aviles, Nika King, Sarah Hudson, and Diaana Babnicova.
This film’s director, Joshua Weigel appears in the film playing the role of Pastor Mark.
It is based on the true story of how Reverend Martin and his wife Donna Martin, in their small Bennett Chapel church of Possum Trot, East Texas, were able to help 77 of the most difficult-to-place children become adopted by 22 families.
According to executive producer Letitia Wright, the film’s message was to make the audience ask itself, “How do we as a community, not only the church, but how do we rally everyone to step in for the kids, because they are our future.”
