- The Palace premiered out of competition at the 80th Venice International Film Festival. The film was released theatrically in Italy on 28 September 2023 by 01 Distribution. It is also set to be released in Russia on 23 November 2023 by Pro:View, after previously set for release in early 2023.
- The film was originally set to be released theatrically in Europe in November 2022 and in Italy on 12 January and 6 April 2023. The film has been unable to find distribution in the United States, the United Kingdom and France. Producer Luca Barbareschi stated that this is similar to Polanski’s previous film, An Officer and a Spy, which was never released in the US, the UK, Australia or New Zealand.
