Storyline:
The story revolves around the lives of four best friends, who are on their way to finding true love. However, their strong bond is put to the test when an unusual situation occurs.

Veere Di Wedding is a Hindi comedy film directed by Shashanka Ghosh and written by Nidhi Mehra and Mehul Suri. The film stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam K Ahuja, Swara Bhaskar, and Shikha Talsania in lead roles. It is loosely based on the 2015 film The Wedding Ringer.
The project was officially announced in June 2016 and got delayed by a year due to Kareena Kapoor’s pregnancy. Kareena Kapoor wanted to leave the film due to her pregnancy. But producers Anil Kapoor, Reha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, and Nikhil Diwedi didn’t want to replace her hence delaying the film.
Principal photography began in September 2017. The film was shot in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangkok. The trailer was released on April 25, 2018. This is the first time Sonam Kapoor and Kareena worked together.
Veere Di Wedding was released theatrically on June 1, 2018, and received mixed reviews from critics, with praise towards the chemistry and performances of the cast.
Made on a budget of ₹28 crore, the film earned over ₹139 crore worldwide to emerge as the fifth highest-grossing Hindi film of the year and the highest for a film featuring female leads. It received three Nominations at the 64th Filmfare Awards including Best Supporting Actress for Talsania and Bhaskar.
The film was banned in Pakistan and not screened in Kuwait for its explicit language and sexuality.
The film went into a legal battle after Jimmy Shergill too had a film with a similar title Veere Ki Wedding, and Rhea Kapoor lost the case in court.
