  • In early 2012, producer Bhushan Kumar announced making a film in the college romance genre and that Divya Khosla Kumar would be the director.
  • Rakul Preet Singh made her Hindi film debut with this movie.
  • This movie’s director Divya Kumar Khosla went trekking in the mountains in North Sikkim with lead actor Himansh Kohli, to make sure that his character of a trekker looked convincing.
  • Nicole Faria made her debut in the film industry with this movie.
  • The shoot began in Mumbai followed by shoots in Sikkim and Darjeeling. In Darjeeling, the movie was shot in St Joseph’s School, Darjeeling.
  • The film was also partially shot in Cape Town. Song Sunny Sunny was shot in the Bo-Kaap area of Cape Town.
