Storyline:
Immediately after the Korean War in the 1950s, Jeong-nyeon (Kim Tae-ri), a girl born with a talent for singing, entered the Yeoseong Gukgeuk troupe and grew up in it.

Jeong Nyeon (Korean: 정년이) is an upcoming South Korean musical drama television series directed by Jung Ji-in, written by Choi Hyo-bi, starring Kim Tae-ri, Shin Ye-eun, Ra Mi-ran and Moon So-ri.
The series is based on a Naver webtoon of the same name by Seo Ireh and Namon, it depicts the entry and growth of a girl born with a talent for singing in the 1950s.
Actress Kim Hieora was originally cast as one of the main roles, but dropped out due to her controversy, shortly before casting was announced.
Both Kim Tae-ri and Moon So-ri starred in two previous projects together: The Handmaiden (2016) and Little Forest (2018), respectively. This makes the second time the duo plays as daughter/mother; the first time being in Little Forest.
Jeong Nyeon is scheduled for release on tvN in the second half of August 2024, every Saturday, and Sunday.
