It is the sixth installment in the NCIS franchise and a prequel to the original series, focusing on the early investigative career of the show’s original protagonist Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
The series was announced in January 2024.
NCIS: Origins is scheduled to premiere in the 2024–25 season on CBS. The show will be available to stream on Paramount+.
