Storyline:

Vito Genovese and Frank Costello, a pair of Italian Americans who run two separate crime families in the mid-20th century. Genovese attempted to assassinate Costello in 1957, although Costello retired from the mob.

• Alto Knights is an upcoming American biographical crime drama film directed by Barry Levinson and written by Nicholas Pileggi. The film stars Robert De Niro, Debra Messing, Kathrine Narducci, and Cosmo Jarvis.
• The film was in the works from as early as the 1970s but over the decades was passed on by every major studio. Warner Bros. Pictures began work on Wise Guys in May 2022 and gave it the greenlight that August.
• Filming took place in December 2022 in Ohio. The production shut down part of US 35 in Greene County, as well as SR 123 in the greater Cincinnati area before moving to the suburbs of Cincinnati. In October 2023, the film was re-titled Alto Knights.
• This is the first time Robert De Niro plays a dual role.
• This is the fifth collaboration between Barry Levinson and Robert De Niro after Sleepers, Wag the Dog, What Just Happened, and The Wizard of Lies.
• Alto Knights is scheduled to be released in the United States on March 21, 2025, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
