Pushpa 2 and Chhaava Set for Epic Box Office Clash in December 2024

Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated sequel “Pushpa 2: The Rule” has been pushed back to December 6, 2024, setting up a major box office clash with Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama “Chhaava“. Both films feature Rashmika Mandanna in pivotal roles, creating a “Rashmika vs Rashmika” showdown for audiences.

The makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule cited the need for additional time to complete filming and post-production in order to deliver a high-quality product. Originally slated for an August 15, 2024 release, the film’s new date now pits it directly against “Chhaava”, which was already scheduled for December 6.

“Chhaava” is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, with Vicky Kaushal portraying the titular role and Rashmika Mandanna as his wife Yesubai Bhonsale. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the historical epic is generating significant buzz in Maharashtra due to its cultural significance.

The clash between these two high-profile films is sure to create a box office frenzy, as both productions boast impressive credentials. Pushpa 2: The Rule is the sequel to the blockbuster “Pushpa: The Rise“, which starred Allu Arjun in the lead role alongside Fahadh Faasil. The film is being produced on a massive budget of ₹500 crore, making it one of the most expensive Indian films to date.
