Epic science-fiction dystopian film based on Indian mythology, written and directed by Nag Ashwin. The film is shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi languages.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world in 2898 AD, it stars Prabhas in the titular role alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Made on a budget of ₹600 crore (US$75 million), making it the most expensive Indian film ever made.

Sarfira | July 12

Soorarai Pottru is being remade in Hindi titled Sarfira’; directed by Kongara and produced by Suriya and Vikram Malhotra. It stars Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan, with Paresh Rawal reprising his role. Suriya appears in a cameo role. G. V. Prakash Kumar was retained as composer to score a new soundtrack.

Principal photography commenced in April 2022, and the film is scheduled to release in theatres on 12 July 2024.
