Triptii Dimri is an Indian actress who works in Hindi films. She made her acting debut in the comedy film Poster Boys (2017) and had her first lead role in the romantic drama Laila Majnu (2018). She gained critical recognition for her performances in Anvita Dutt’s period films Bulbbul (2020), and Qala (2022), with the former earning her a Filmfare OTT Award. She was featured in Forbes Asia’s 30 Under 30 list of 2021.

Dimri gained popularity with a supporting role in the top-grossing action film Animal (2023), earning a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Triptii Dimri was born on 23 February 1994, in hails from Garhwal in the state of Uttarakhand. She was born to Meenakshi and Dinesh Dimri, and raised with Hindu values. Her parents have always been supportive of her in her career. She also has a brother Ashutosh Dimri and a sister Kritika Dimri Papne.

Dimri did her schooling at Delhi Public School, Firozabad, and completed her graduation in psychology from Sri Aurobindo College. She later went on to pursue acting at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune after her graduation.

Triptii Dimri Career:

Triptii Dimri made her acting debut in the 2017 comedy “Poster Boys,” directed by Shreyas Talpade, featuring Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Shreyas Talpade in lead roles. Despite being overshadowed by the ensemble cast, she was deemed “decent” by a Bollywood Hungama critic. Dimri then took on a leading role in the 2018 romantic drama “Laila Majnu,” earning positive reviews for her portrayal of Laila.

In 2020, Dimri gained recognition as the protagonist in Anvita Dutt‘s supernatural drama “Bulbbul,” produced by Anushka Sharma. Her performance received acclaim, earning her a Filmfare OTT Award for Best Actor. She reunited with Dutt in 2022 for the critically acclaimed film “Qala,” where she played the title role of a young singer navigating personal relationships and career. Although praised, some critics found her character one-note.

Dimri had a brief role in the top-grossing action thriller film Animal (2023) directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga starring Ranbir Kapoor, which significantly contributed to her career advancement. She received a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Up next, she is set to star in Anand Tiwari’s romantic film “Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam” alongside Vicky Kaushal.
