About Frozen II Movie:
Frozen II is an American animated fantasy adventure comedy film directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee from a screenplay by Lee. It is a sequel to the 2013 film Frozen. It stars the voices of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, and Jonathan Groff.
The film was produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It was Walt Disney Animation Studio’s 58th feature film and last one of the 2010s.
Producer Peter Del Vecho stated on March 31, 2014, that he, Chris Buck, and Jennifer Lee collaborated well and envisioned another Frozen-related project. On June 10, 2014, Jennifer Lee confirmed that Walt Disney Studios CCO John Lasseter had authorized her and Buck to explore a possible sequel. On March 12, 2015, it was announced that Frozen II, a full-length sequel, was in development.
The production team traveled to Norway, Finland, and Iceland for background research. They decided to make Elsa a “mythic hero” with magic ice powers and Anna a “fairytale hero” who lives in a magical world but has no magic powers. They concluded that the first film successfully combined these two elements. Voice recording began in September 2017.
About 800 people, 80 of them animators, were involved in the production of Frozen II. Frozen II made use of advancements in technology, artistic performance, and skeletal animation.
Disney released the first trailer for Frozen II on February 13, 2019. It was viewed 116.4 million times in its first 24 hours, making it the most-watched animated film trailer until the teaser for Inside Out 2 (2024) surpassed that record in November 2023.
Frozen II premiered in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on November 7, 2019, and was released in the United States on November 22. It received generally positive reviews from critics, although it was considered inferior to its predecessor.
Frozen II grossed $1.453 billion worldwide, finishing its theatrical run as the third-highest-grossing film of 2019, the tenth-highest-grossing film in history, and the second-highest-grossing animated film of all time. It also held the title of the highest-grossing worldwide opening for an animated film for three years.
The film received a nomination for Best Original Song at the 92nd Academy Awards, among numerous other accolades. Two sequels are in development, with the first scheduled for release in 2026.

Frozen Movie Sequal:
As of 2023, two Frozen sequels are in development. Josh Gad is set to reprise his role as Olaf in the third film, and Jennifer Lee has confirmed she will not direct the sequels. In February 2024, Bob Iger stated, “We’re already looking forward to 2026 and beyond with Frozen 3, the first Toy Story movie since 2019, and a new Star Wars movie that brings The Mandalorian and Grogu to the big screen for the very first time.”
