2018 is a Malayalam disaster thriller film directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, which he co-wrote with Akhil P. Dharmajan. The film stars Tovino Thomas in the lead role along with Asif Ali, Kunchacko Boban, Narain Ram, Vineeth Sreenivasan, and Aparna Balamurali in supporting roles.
The film is based on the incidents that happened in the 2018 Kerala floods. Principal photography for the film began on 27 May 2022 and was completed on 12 November 2022. 2018 was released in India on May 5, 2023, by Anto Joseph Film Company.

2018 Movie Storyline:
It is based on a real incident that happened in August 2018, severe floods affected Kerala due to heavy rainfall. Reported to be the worst flood faced by the state in a century, the disaster killed more than 400 people and displaced almost a million people. While the National Disaster Response Forces and Central Armed Police Forces were deployed on rescue missions, common folk too fought alongside them and did their best to help people in need.
