Storyline:
Anora, a young sex worker from Brooklyn, gets her chance at a Cinderella story when she meets and impulsively marries the son of an oligarch. Once the news reaches Russia, her fairytale is threatened as his parents set out for New York to get the marriage annulled.

About Anora Movie:
Anora is an American romantic comedy-drama film starring Mikey Madison as Anora alongside Mark Eydelshteyn, Yuriy Borisov, Karren Karagulian, Vache Tovmasyan, Lindsey Normington, and Ivy Wolk.
The film was written and directed by Sean Baker, who also produced it alongside Alex Coco and Samantha Qua.
Principal photography for the film took place in early 2023 in Brooklyn, New York.
The film premiered on May 21, 2024, in competition at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Palme d’Or. It is also the first American film to win the Palme d’Or since 2011’s The Tree of Life. It earned a 10-minute standing ovation at the end of its screening.
Worldwide distribution rights were acquired by FilmNation Entertainment in October 2023. In November 2023, Neon acquired North American distribution rights to the film.
Anora was released theatrically on October 18, 2024, by Neon. The film received acclaim for Madison’s performance and Baker’s direction, screenplay, and editing.
