Storyline:

Beauty and the Beast is an American romantic fantasy adventure film produced by Walt Disney Pictures with Mandeville Films. The film was directed by Bill Condon from a screenplay by Stephen Chbosky and Evan Spiliotopoulos.
It is a live-action/animated remake of Disney’s 1991 animated film Beauty and the Beast, itself an adaptation of Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont’s version of the fairy tale “Beauty and the Beast”.
The film stars Emma Watson and Dan Stevens as Belle and the Beast, respectively. It features a supporting ensemble cast including Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Audra McDonald, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ian McKellen, and Emma Thompson.
The live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast was first announced in April 2014, with Condon attached to direct. The cast members signed on between January and April 2015. With an estimated production budget of around $255 million, it is one of the most expensive films ever made.
Ryan Gosling was offered the role of the Beast but turned it down to star in La La Land (2016) instead. Emma Watson was offered the lead role in La La Land but declined to star in Beauty and the Beast. La La Land won several Oscars, including Best Actress for Emma Stone, who accepted the role Watson passed on.
Principal photography of the film on May 18, 2015, at Shepperton Studios in Surrey, England, and nearby locations, including Cranleigh and Lacock, Wiltshire. Filming was completed on August 21, 2015.
