Downtown Owl Movie (2023):
Downtown Owl is an upcoming American drama film directed by Lily Rabe and Hamish Linklater, from a screenplay by Linklater. The film stars Rabe, Henry Golding, Jack Dylan Grazer, Vanessa Hudgens, Finn Wittrock, August Blanco Rosenstein and Ed Harris. It is based on the 2008 novel of the same name by Chuck Klosterman.
Principal photography began prior to the official announcement, on April 3, 2022, in Minnesota. Filming took place in Saint Paul, Independence, and Elko New Market, and wrapped in early May. Downtown Owl will premiere at the 2023 Tribeca Festival on June 2023.

Downtown Owl Movie Storyline:
Set in the year of 1983, in the fictional town of Owl, North Dakota, the story centers around three intangibly connected residents—Horace (Ed Harris), an old man who spends his afternoons reminiscing better times from the past at the local coffee shop, Mitch (August Blanco Rosenstein), a depressed high school backup quarterback, and Julia (Lily Rabe), an English teacher at the local high school who recently moved to Owl—whose lives, along with those of the town’s other residents, are upended by a whiteout blizzard.
