Storyline:

Horizon: An American Saga” explores the lure of the Old West and how it was won—and lost—through the blood, sweat, and tears of many. Spanning the four years of the Civil War, from 1861 to 1865, Costner’s ambitious cinematic adventure will take audiences on an emotional journey across a country at war with itself, experienced through the lens of families, friends, and foes all attempting to discover what it truly means to be the United States of America.

• Horizon: An American Saga is an upcoming American Western drama film directed by Kevin Costner, who also wrote the film with Jon Baird. The film is a co-production between New Line Cinema and Territory Pictures.
• Filming of at least the first installment began on August 29, 2022, in southern Utah, concluding in November. Filming of the second installment began by May 2023, before concluding in the summer of that year.
• Kevin Costner’s first directorial effort since Open Range (2003).
• Horizon: An American Saga will be Kevin Costner and Jeff Fahey’s third western together.
• In October 2023, it was announced the film would be released in two parts.
