About Jersey Movie:

Jersey is a Hindi sports drama film featuring Shahid Kapoor as a cricketer, alongside Mrunal Thakur, and Pankaj Kapur. The film is a remake of a Telugu National Award-winning movie of the same name.

Jersey is written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who helmed the original, has directed the Hindi version as well. and produced by Dil Raju, Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, and Aman Gill under the banner of Allu Entertainment, Dil Raju Production, Sithara Entertainments, and Brat Films.

The film was scheduled for theatrically released on 31 December 2021 coinciding with New Year. However, just days before it was supposed to hit the theatres, the sports drama’s release got postponed due to the rising Covid and Omicron cases in India. The film was theatrically released on 22 April 2022.
