Storyline

Seiya (Mackenyu), a headstrong street teen, spends his time fighting for cash while he searches for his abducted sister. When one of his fights unwittingly taps into mystical powers he never knew he had, Seiya finds himself thrust into a world of warring saints, ancient magical training and a reincarnated goddess who needs his protection. About Knights of the Zodiac Movie

The film is based on the manga Saint Seiya by Masami Kurumada.

The film has received mostly negative reviews from critics and was a box-office bomb with a gross of $6.9 million.

It was originally to be a co-production with Sony Pictures and Chinese company A Really Good Film Company, which would later drop out.

Filming took place between July and September 2021 in Hungary and Croatia.

The filmmakers based the Cloth armors on ancient Greek armors, and consulted European blacksmiths for advice on making the designs practical and realistic.
Knights of the Zodiac was released theatrically in Latin America on April 27, 2023, in Japan on April 28, and in the United States on May 12. It was released digitally on June 27, 2023, followed by a Blu-ray and DVD release on July 11.
