About Plagiarism allegations:
Following the release of a sneak peek video for Pichaikkaran 2, V. Rajaganapthy, the producer of Aaivukkoodam, filed a petition with the Madras High Court against Vijay Antony Film Corporation. Rajaganapathy alleged that the storyline of Pichaikkaran 2 had been copied from Aaivukkoodam and requested that the film’s release be halted until the matter was resolved. However, the court rejected Rajaganapathy’s request on the grounds that the concept of brain transplantation, which was at the heart of the dispute, had been in use in films since 1908 and had been featured in numerous works. The court further stated that there were no similarities between the two films aside from the brain transplantation concept.
