Storyline:
A merry mash-up of sisterly affection, parental disappointment, and bold action, Polite Society follows martial artist-in-training Ria Khan who believes she must save her older sister Lena from her impending marriage. After enlisting the help of her friends, Ria attempts to pull off the most ambitious of all wedding heists in the name of independence and sisterhood.

Polite Society is a British martial arts action comedy film written and directed by Nida Manzoor (in her feature film directorial debut). The film stars Priya Kansara, Ritu Arya, Nimra Bucha, Akshay Khanna, Seraphina Beh, Ella Bruccoleri, Shona Babayemi, Shobu Kapoor, and Jeff Mirza.
Nida Manzoor’s directorial debut.
In January 2022 it was revealed a feminist action comedy focusing on two British-Pakistani sisters was being filmed in London by Nida Manzoor.
The film was released at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival on 21 January 2023, at the 2023 Glasgow Film Festival on 12 March 2023. Polite Society was released in the United Kingdom and the United States on 28 April 2023. The film received favorable reviews from critics.
