Storyline:
A couple in their late 90s, lead a happy life with a large family of four generations. On the day of their granddaughter’s engagement, an unexpected event sends them on a magical journey that will test their familial bonds.

Pookkaalam is a Malayalam comedy-drama film written and directed by Ganesh Raj. The film stars Vijayaraghavan in the lead role as a 100-year-old man and K. P. A. C. Leela as his pair.
Principal photography for the film was started on 13 April 2022 and ended on 14 December after 37 days of shoot.
After his debut film Aanandam (2016), director Ganesh Raj took 4 years to complete the script of Pookkaalam.
Pookkaalam was released in Indian cinemas on 8 April 2023 by CNC Cinemas.
