Storyline:

Set in the fictional country of Dongbangguk, the story follows Princess Hwari (Go Ah Ra), the youngest member of the royal family. With an independent mindset, she decides to find her husband herself when she reaches marriageable age. Venturing out of the palace, she meets various suitors while also seeking the artist who depicted her as the main character in a series of erotic chunhwa paintings.

Among her suitors is Choi Hwan (Chang Ryul), the wealthiest merchant and a handsome man, who tops the list of potential husbands for Princess Hwari. Although he appears to be a man who enjoys women and money, he harbors a hidden secret.

About Chunhwa Love Story TV Series:

Chunhwa Love Story (Korean: 춘화 연애담) is an upcoming South Korean historical romantic drama television series directed by Lee Gwang-Young and written by Seo Eun Jung. The series stars Go Ah Ra and Chang Ryul in the lead roles.

Ko Ah-Sung was initially cast as the lead female character, Princess Hwari, but had to withdraw due to an injury she sustained off-set. Filming was temporarily halted and later resumed with Go Ah Ra taking over the role.

Chunhwa Love Story is expected to be released on TVING in 2024.
