About Vishwambhara Movie:
Vishwambhara is an upcoming Telugu socio-fantasy film written and directed by Mallidi Vassishta and produced by UV Creations. The film stars Chiranjeevi, Trisha Krishnan, and Meenakshi Chaudhary in lead roles.
Vishwambhara was announced under the tentative title Mega 156 (intending to be Chiranjeevi’s 156th film) on 22 August 2023, which was also his birthday. Vishwambhara was launched with a muhurtam pooja on 23 October 2023 in Hyderabad, and was attended by the film’s crew and many other famous people of Tollywood.
In Hyderabad’s Annapurna Studios, 13 distinct sets were meticulously constructed under the supervision of production designer AS Prakash. These sets will play a crucial role in showcasing spiritual elements, with approximately 70% of the film relying heavily on visual effects. The production timeline saw scenes shot in Maredumilli in early 2024, initially without Chiranjeevi, who joined the sets later. Overseas distribution rights were secured by Sarigama Cinemas for ₹18 crore, while Trisha Krishnan was cast as the lead heroine, marking her return to Telugu cinema after an 8-year hiatus. Filming began in Nalgonda and later returned to Hyderabad, where action sequences and songs, including one choreographed by Shobhi Master, were shot at Ramoji Film City. Notably, a set originally from the film Guntur Kaaram was utilized for one of the song sequences.
In an action-packed sequence filmed at Ramoji Film City, an elaborate forest set enhanced with water, mud, and dust was created for Chiranjeevi and others to perform. The realistic mud, made from actual sand, added authenticity to the intense fighting scenes. The production continued with another significant filming schedule at Lingampally, where a colossal 54 feet Hanuman statue, crafted by A.S. Prakash, set the stage for an impactful interval action scene filmed on April 1, 2024.
The film is scheduled to release on 10 January 2025.
