Fly Me to the Moon Trailer: A Romantic Comedy Soars with Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum at NASA

Apple Original Films’ latest romantic-comedy feature, “Fly Me to the Moon,” is set to hit theaters on July 14, with Sony handling distribution. Directed by Greg Berlanti, the film stars Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, who find themselves in each other’s orbit against the backdrop of the Apollo 11 moon launch in 1968.

Johansson plays Kelly Jones, a marketing expert hired by NASA to improve its public image, while Tatum stars as Cole Davis, the launch director. When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, Jones is directed to stage a fake moon landing as a backup plan, adding a layer of complexity to the already challenging task of Davis.

The film, previously known as “Project Artemis,” boasts a $100 million-plus budget and was initially set to be directed by Jason Bateman, who left the project due to creative differences. Channing Tatum stepped in to replace Chris Evans, who had scheduling conflicts.

Johansson’s recent credits include “Asteroid City” and “Transformers One,” while Tatum has appeared in “Magic Mike’s Last Dance,” “Dog,” and “The Lost City.” Berlanti, known for his work on television shows like “Arrow,” “The Flash,” and “Riverdale,” previously directed “Love, Simon” in 2018.

Fly Me to the Moon promises a sharp, stylish comedy-drama set against the high-stakes backdrop of NASA’s historic Apollo 11 moon landing. With its charismatic leads and intriguing premise, the film is sure to captivate audiences this summer.
